Plant Info > Instant Screening
Pinder Plants now offer a range of instant screening. These come in various sizes, as rootballed plants from October to March
Ready Hedges
A new concept, offering 100cm runs of hedging. These are grown in various heights, but usually with a 40cm width. The plants are grown over 3 years and the roots are undercut each year, making it easy for them to be lifted all year round. The 100cm runs, or ‘elements’ are placed into bio-degradable boxes, which can be planted straight into the prepared ground.
Single Plant Screens
Often used for Beech (Fagus) and Hornbeam (Carpinus), these are screens trained from one single plant. The ideal specification is 200cm wide by 200cm high, but these sizes can vary. Pictured on this page is a Hornbeam screen of 6m high by 2m wide!
Screening Columns
A superb way to screen off your property. The trees are grown as columns to offer an instant screen. Often grown at 50cm widths and 2 metre heights, so that 2 plants will give you 1 metre of instant screening. 4 metre columns are also available with a 1 metre spread.
