Ornamental grasses are another semi-specialist field of mine. I have been a grass enthusiast since the early nineties, when I was very much a grower. At this time we were lucky enough to have fellow grass-fans like Neil Lucas at Knoll Gardens and Roger Grounds, author and previous owner of Apple Court to help us with our selection and I was able to see the early Miscanthus trials at RHS Wisley. My boss at the time, Richard Loader introduced me to grasses and we started production at Stewarts, which gave the Nursery huge credibility as a front runner for this up and coming product.
Currently Pinder Plants are working with many UK growers of ornamental grasses, as well as specialist growers in Holland. (The Dutch Nurseries are often best placed to supply larger quantities).
Plugs and liners are also available for 'budget' en masse planting and for growing on.
